Encompassing 22 large luxury canvas tents – each set on a beautiful wooden platform with a spacious verandah. Karen Blixen Camp is located on the bank of the Mara River, with the Oloololo Escarpment in front and the Mara plains behind. It lies within the Mara North Conservancy, a crucial part of the northwestern zone of the Masai Mara Ecosystem. The conservancy borders the Masai Mara National Reserve to the south of Kenya and is integrated into the greater Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem.

Centrally and conveniently located, it is a short walk from the Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Bead Factory and an easy 10 minutes’ drive from the popular Daphne Sheldrick Elephant & Rhino Orphanage as well as the Giraffe Centre. Just 10 minutes away, it is also well-placed for game drive in Nairobi National Park where one can spot the big game with the city skyline in the background. The Southern bypass makes Wilson Airport, which is used for all safari flights in Kenya, a quick 20 minutes’ drive. The bypass combined with the new Express Way on Mombasa Rd makes transfer to/from Jomo Kenyatta a breeze.
