This Safari also known as the Footsteps of the Elephants will take you close to the peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro from the Kenyan side right through to the other side of of the republic of Tanzania
Day 1: Amboseli National Park

Met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport and drive to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at your camp/lodge. Amboseli National Park lies below the most famous symbol of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain standing at 5896 metres high. The waters of the mountain feed the seasonal swamps and marshes on which the game and birds rely on. It is here that photographers will hope to shoot the classic picture of the elephant or giraffe standing against the backdrop of the snow-capped mountain. After lunch proceed on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Camp/lodge

Day 2 – 3: Amboseli National Park

Today we shall have an early morning call for our pre-dawn game drive. Breakfast will be at the camp with the rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch proceed on another game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge

Day 3 – 4: Naivasha
Day Notes
After breakfast drive via Nairobi to Lake Naivasha which is a freshwater Lake. The lake is on the floor of the East African Rift Valley. Birdlife is particularly abundant (over 460 species). It is a breeding ground for cormorants all year round. You might see pelicans and spoonbills perched on the dead trees and almost certainly the fish eagle. Lunch will be at the resort. In the afternoon embark on a boat ride at the lake that will take you closer to the school of hippos which are resident here. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Camp or similar – FB

Day 4: Masai Mara
Day Notes
After breakfast at approximately 0800hrs drive to the world-famous Masai Mara conservation area via the Great Rift Valley. Enroute enjoy the beautiful scenery. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch and check in. In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive inside the Mara reserve, home to lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators. In the evening enjoy dinner and overnight at your camp or similar – FB

Day 5 – 6: Masai Mara

Option 1
After breakfast proceed on a full-day game-viewing drive-in search of the myriad species of game that are resident here. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! Later drive back to the camp for lunch before proceeding on another exciting game drive where you can expect to see the famous ‘Big 5’if lucky. Dinner and overnight at your camp or similar
Option 2:
Rise before dawn for a spectacular Hot Air Balloon ride followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional at extra cost) with an evening game drive scheduled for the day. Balloon flights typically take off at 6.30am. Passengers arrive in time to watch the balloon inflation as the pilots torch the colored fabric to life. The flight duration is usually one hour following the days prevailing winds. A Balloon flight allows passengers to float over the world’s most spectacular game reserve, and offers a magical bird’s eye view of the wildlife the Mara is famous for. On landing, the balloon crew sets up a full champagne breakfast complete with “Bloody Mary’s” on the Mara plains. Each passenger receives a certificate from their pilot as a special memoir of this flight. (all this is extra) All meals and overnight at your camp/Lodge

Day 6: Central Serengeti

After early breakfast drive to Isebania border to clear with customs & immigration, picnic lunches will be taken at one of the designated Picnic sites. Proceed to Serengeti National Park which is undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. It is unequalled for its natural beauty and has the greatest concentration of plain game on earth. With its wide-open spaces, bright blue skies and creature-filled landscape, over the next days we will discover why the fabled Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old Africa.” Large prides of lions laze in the long grasses; plentiful families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains, while giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, eland and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves in awe-inspiring numbers. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for check in, dinner and overnight

Day 7 – 8: Central Serengeti
Day Notes
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Spend rest of the morning at leisure with lunch at the lodge. Rest of the afternoon at leisure with a late afternoon game drive slotted for the day. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Or embark on a full day game drive after breakfast till dusk. Alternatively enjoy a balloon flight across the Serengeti Plains at an extra cost

Day 8: Karatu
Day Notes
After breakfast depart with picnic lunches for Ngorongoro Conservation area, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. On arrival descend into the crater floor for the crater tour. Lunch will be at one of the designated sites. Later ascend the crater and proceed to your lodge/camp in Karatu area for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – 10: Karatu

After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara and proceed for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This beautiful park is at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and comprises of forest, woodland, grasslands, and swamps. Gazelles; impala; buffalo; wildebeest; the famous tree climbing lion; hyenas; baboon; giraffe; hippopotamus; and a great number of smaller mammals; 350 species of bird, storks and flamingos Apart from its abundant bird and animal life, it is also well known for its tree-climbing lions. Later drive to lake Manyara serena for lunch. In the evening return to your lodge at Karatu area for dinner and overnight

Day 10 – 11: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast drive to Tarangire National Park known for its huge herds of elephants, giraffes as well as a remarkable variety of resident and migratory bird species. The Tarangire river and its tributaries provide the only permanent water supply during the dry season thus supporting a great diversity of wildlife. Tarangire National Park also boasts of some of the highest animal densities and most stunning landscapes in Tanzania. The afternoon game is a sure inspiration, let us have our cameras ready to capture photos of the park’s gigantic Baobab trees silhouetted against the sky!
