Day 1 – 2: Aberdare National Park

Pick up on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pick from your hotel in Nairobi area. You will be met and assisted by our representatives. Immediately proceed by road to towards the lush foothills of the Aberdare Mountain ranges and check in at Aberdare Country Club for lunch. After lunch proceed to The Ark Lodge overlooking a waterhole and salt lick where the ‘Big Five’ occasionally gather for an exhilarating night of wild encounters. The Ark comprises of three decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for game viewing. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. LDBB

Day 2 – 3: Naivasha

Day Notes

After breakfast drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch/check-in. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater Lake found on the floor of the East African Rift Valley. Birdlife is particularly abundant (over 460 species). It is a breeding ground for cormorants all year round. You might see pelicans and spoonbills perched on the dead trees and almost certainly the fish eagle. Lunch will be at the resort. In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride at the Lake. Dinner and overnight at your resort

Day 3: Masai Mara

Day Notes

After breakfast at approximately 0800hrs drive to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley. Enroute enjoy the beautiful scenery. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch and check in. In the afternoon enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive. Spotting lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators is the highlight of your day. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge/camp

Day 4 – 5: Masai Mara

Day Notes

Option 1: 

After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game-viewing drive-in search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment, right in front of your unbelieving eyes! After picnic lunches at one of the designated sites proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous ‘Big 5’. Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp

Option 2: 

Rise before dawn for a spectacular Hot Air Balloon ride followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional at extra cost). OR proceed for an early morning game drive. Return to the Camp for lunch then later, set out on a late afternoon game spotting safari in the reserve and the opportunity to spot Africa’s ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Overnight at the lodge/Camp

Day 5: Central Serengeti

Day notes

After early breakfast proceed to the Isebania border to clear with immigration and customs, picnic lunches will be taken at one of the designated Picnic sites. Proceed to Serengeti National Park which is undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. It is unequalled for its natural beauty and has the greatest concentration of plain game on earth. With its wide-open spaces, bright blue skies and creature-filled landscape, over the next days we will discover why the fabled Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old Africa.” Large prides of lions laze in the long grasses; plentiful families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains, while giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, eland and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves  in awe-inspiring numbers. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for check in, dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – 7: Central Serengeti

Option 1

After breakfast proceed on a full-day game-viewing in search of the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. If you are lucky, you can witness the kill in action, moment by moment and right in front of your unbelieving eyes! lunch will be at one of the designated areas. Proceed for another exciting game drive where you can expect to see the famous ‘Big 5’. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

Option 2

Overnight at Mara Leisure Camp (Breakfast, Lunch & dinner included) Lunch & Dinner

Balloon flights typically take off at 6.30am. Passengers arrive in time to watch the balloon inflation as the pilots torch the coloured fabric to life. The flight duration is usually one hour, each balloon follows a different path based on the days prevailing winds allowing its passengers to float over the world’s most spectacular game reserve and offers a magical bird’s eye view of the wildlife the park is famous for. On landing, the balloon crew will set up a full champagne breakfast complete with “Bloody Mary’s” on the open plains. Each passenger then receives a certificate from their pilot as a special memoir. Day 7 – 8: Karatu

Day Notes

After breakfast we drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor.  We shall proceed straight into action and descend to the floor for an exciting game viewing. Picnic lunches will be taken at one of the designated sites. Later ascend the crater and proceed to your lodge/crater for check in, dinner and overnight

Day 8: End of Itinerary 

Day notes

After breakfast at leisure drive to Arusha for lunch and last-minute shopping. Later transfer too Kilimanjaro International airport for your onward flight – BL
