Day 1: Transfer By Road From Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

You shall be met on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer by road to Lake Nakuru National Park (approximately a 3-hour drive) arriving in time for lunch, check in at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, have lunch and relax, Later in the afternoon proceed on an afternoon game-viewing drive inside the park until late in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge

The Park is also Sanctuary to the Black Rhino, White Rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe. Bird life is varied and include African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chats, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra- African Migrants. The park used to be famous for its millions of pink flamingos that used to line the lake shores but today the populations have greatly dwindled due to changes in water levels & alkalinity. 

Day 2: Transfer by Road from Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara Reserve

After breakfast proceed by road to the world-famous Masai Mara Game conservation area. You will arrive at Mara North conservancy in time for lunch, a quick game drive as you head to the Karen Blixen Tented Camp for check in, have lunch and relax. After you shall have an afternoon game-viewing drive enjoying the enthralling game that characterizes the Mara plains. Spotting lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators will be the highlight of our day.  Dinner and overnight at your Karen Blixen Camp, Mara North Conservancy

Day 3: Mara North Conservancy, Masai Mara

Wake up for After breakfast, then proceed on a morning game drive to the world-renowned Leopard Gorge made famous by the BBC Big Cat Diary. Before or after lunch, there is time for a camp eco-walk, a swim, armchair game-viewing with drinks or why not book a spa treatment or a visit to our Maasai Manyatta at an extra cost. In the evening you shall enjoy a night game drive within the Mara North Conservancy.

Dinner and overnight: Karen Blixen Camp, Mara North Conservancy

Day 4: Mara North Conservancy full day

After early morning game drive, return to the Karen Blixen Camp for breakfast, after breakfast you shall have leisure time at the camp until lunch time, after lunch you shall embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive until late in the evening, later return to the Karen Blixen Camp for cozy time by the fire and subsequent dinner. Although there are guaranteed to be many experiences that just need to be completed one more time, don’t forget to look up and enjoy the African night sky when darkness has fallen.

You can relax in front of the tent or by the pool, and massages and other treatments can be purchased in the camp’s spa. You also have the opportunity to look at souvenirs in the Karen Blixen Camp’s shop.

Day 5: Full Day spend at Mara North Conservancy

You shall have an early morning game viewing drive before breakfast; Try to find the early carnivores as they rush back to their hideout after a busy night of hunting, before the sun catches with them. Return to Karen Blixen Tented Camp for breakfast and rest, time to enjoy the swimming pool until time for lunch. After lunch enjoy an afternoon game-viewing drive until late in  the evening.

OR

Rise before dawn for a spectacular Hot Air Balloon ride followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional at extra cost). OR proceed for an early morning game drive. Return to Karen Blixen Camp for lunch then later set out on a late afternoon game-viewing drive in Mara North Conservancy and get the opportunity to spot Africa’s ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.

Alternatively, you can proceed on an excursion to the Great Mara Reserve for a full day tour at an extra cost

Day 6: Transfer by flight from Mara North Conservancy to Nairobi

The safari ends with an early morning game drive before packing up and enjoying breakfast with a last look at the Mara River. It’s time to say goodbye to Karen Blixen Camp, your friendly staff and the warm hospitable Mara. You will be transferred to the local airstrip for your Nairobi bound flight

On landing at Wilson airport, you shall be picked for a delicious lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee drop off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home or drop off at your hotel of stay or area of residence in Nairobi.
