Southern Africa Safari Experiences

Southern Africa brings together some of the continent’s most famous sights in one journey. A Southern Africa safari combines cosmopolitan Cape Town beneath Table Mountain, classic Big Five game drives in South Africa’s Kruger region, the pristine waterways of Botswana’s Okavango Delta and the thundering spray of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Taste world-class wines in the Cape Winelands, drive the scenic Garden Route past beaches, lagoons and forests, and enjoy night drives and bush walks in the exclusive private reserves bordering Kruger National Park. In the Okavango Delta, glide through the channels by traditional mokoro, then end your trip at Victoria Falls with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi. Short flights connect each highlight, so you can see more in less time.

☀ When to Go

The dry season, from about May to October, is best for game viewing in Kruger and the Okavango Delta, when animals gather around water. Cape Town is at its warmest from November to March, and Victoria Falls is at its fullest after the rains, around March to May.
